Event Description

A day trip to Thames for the fourth Steampunk Festival. Includes a street parade with ‘Punk my ride’ display, Steampunk market and afternoon carnival. Steampunk is a genre of science fiction that has a historical setting (usually Victorian) and typically features steam-powered machinery rather than modern technology. Steampunk followers tend to wear Victorian styled dress. Normal casual street wear is fine but this is an opportunity to pull out that steam punk apparel hidden in your wardrobe or head for the costume hire! Some of you ‘do it’ for Napier – this is a tad more gothic but just as much fun.
