Event Description

A programme that will include music and songs from On the Town, Peter Pan, On the Waterfront, Candide and West Side Story. Leonard Bernstein – American composer, pianist, teacher and conductor – was one of the giants of 20th century music. We celebrate his centenary in a concert that, like Bernstein, spans genres. It includes his Symphonic Suite from the Hollywood classic On the Waterfront and dances from the musicals On the Town and West Side Story alongside music from Peter Pan and Candide (including Glitter and be Gay) – in an exciting examination of his life’s works.
