Event Description
Explore one of New Zealand's last outposts, meet the locals, discover the wildlife
and hear about the islands rich culture and history.
D'Urville Island is named after the French explorer Jules Dumont d'Urville who
sailed here on the Astrolabe in early 1827.
The island is our 1/8th largest, but with only 52 residents.
We meet at Blenheim Airport and are transferred to the island by minivan and
boat.
Includes beach cottage accommodation, meals on the island, return ferry crossing,
minivan transport, boat cruise, blue cod fishing and water taxi.
